Essays on 20th Century History
These are some of the best essays I produced on Twentieth Century history topics, including one essay that won the Trinity College Bowen Prize for History.
These essays have been published as an historical resource for students of history - PLAGIARISM IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED, and would be both a breach of copyright and a breach of the rules of almost any univeristy, college or school. These essays are not intended as a source for cheats, and I would ask that this web site be cited the same as any other work if quoted from.
- Account for the Allied victory in World War II (Cambridge Historical Tripos, Part I, Paper 18)
- Did Hitler plan for war? (Cambridge Historical Tripos, Part I, Paper 18)
- What part did civilians play in the destruction of the European Jews? (Cambridge Historical Tripos, Part I, Paper 18)
- To what extent and in what ways did the SS control the German state and German society under the Third Reich? (Cambridge Historical Tripos, Part II, Paper 22)
- Why did Italian Facism survive so long? (Cambridge Historical Tripos, Part I, Paper 18)
Please note: owing to time constraints I have not been able to include footnotes with these essays as I have done with the main dissertation. If you require clarification of sources , bibliographic information or wish to discuss any aspect of these essays, you are welcome to get in touch.
